Eine Sammlung alter, detaillierter Karten der Ruhrregion, die historische Stadtpläne, Flüsse, Straßen sowie geologische und Bergbaukarten zeigen. Aufgrund ihrer Seltenheit bieten diese Karten eine einzigartige Grundlage, um die zeitliche Entwicklung einzelner Orte nachvollziehen zu können. Die Karten wurden im Rahmen des Kartenportalprojekts digitalisiert, das derzeit vom Digital Humanities Center der Universitätsbibliothek Bochum entwickelt wird. and A collection of historic, detailed maps of the Ruhr region, showing historical city plans, rivers, roads, as well as geological and mining maps. Due to their rarity, these maps provide a unique resource for tracing the temporal development of individual locations. The maps were digitized as part of the Map Portal project, which is currently being developed by the Digital Humanities Center of the University Library Bochum.
